Global Standards Committee

The Global Standards Committee is charged with developing a global strategy for WJTA. The goals of the Global Standards Committee are to:

  • Collaborate with other waterblasting/industrial cleaning organizations worldwide in efforts to educate on all aspects of automation including safety, efficiency and productivity
  • Support efforts to create and implement ‘in-country’ best practices based on WJTA’s best practices manuals
  • Build case studies that can be used to help educate asset owners around the world on the benefits of automation

Hydrodemolition Committee

The Hydrodemolition Committee is charged with reviewing issues related to the use of high-pressure waterjets for concrete removal, including education, safety, training and the environment. The Hydrodemolition Committee shall also review any other concrete removal issues, programs, etc. that come before it and make recommendations to the Board of Directors as appropriate.


Membership and Expo Outreach Committee

The Membership and Expo Outreach Committee is charged with maintaining and increasing the membership of the Association. The Membership and Expo Outreach Committee is also responsible for increasing Conference/Expo exhibitors, attendees, and exhibitor/attendee retention.


Paper Review Committee

The Review Committee will review and approve abstracts and papers submitted to the WJTA Conference. The Review Committee will select the Best Paper Award(s) based on an established point system. Awards are to be presented at the Conference.


Safety Committee for High Pressure

The Safety Committee is charged with reviewing the Industry Best Practices for the Use of High Pressure Waterjetting Equipment on a regular basis and recommending changes and revisions as appropriate, with input from the membership and from other Board members. The Safety Committee shall also review any other safety issues, programs, etc. that come before it and make recommendations to the Board of Directors as appropriate.


Safety Committee for Vacuum

The Safety Committee is charged with reviewing the Recommended Practices for the Use of Industrial Vacuum Equipment on a regular basis and recommending changes and revisions as appropriate, with input from the membership and from other Board members. The Safety Committee shall also review any other safety issues, programs, etc. that come before it and make recommendations to the Board of Directors as appropriate.


WJTA Conference & Expo Committees

Conference & Expo Organizing Committee

The Organizing Committee is responsible for submitting recommendations to the Board of Directors on matters pertaining to the WJTA Conference and/or Expo. The Organizing Committee shall evaluate the recommendations of the Conference/Expo subcommittees on Education, Exhibitor Outreach, and Attendee Outreach.


Education Committee

The Education Committee is responsible for soliciting topics and speakers for the educational program; establishing criteria and evaluating educational session proposals; and recommending an educational schedule to the Conference/Expo Organizing Committee. The Education Committee is also responsible for other matters related to the educational program including CEU/PDH credit.
